I wasn’t so familiar with the industry before joining — now I help tell its story to the world.

I studied Marketing with the goal of combining creativity and analytical thinking in my future role. After a student exchange in Madrid and living abroad, I knew I also wanted an international environment where I could collaborate across cultures and understand how a global company operates.

With a minor in Corporate Law and a growing interest in investing, I was looking for a role where I could connect multiple interests, not just marketing alone.

A trainee role that combined everything

In January 2025, I joined Kalmar as an IR, Marketing and Communications Trainee, and it felt like the perfect match.

My role allowed me to work on everything from social media content creation to internal communications projects and supporting Investor Relations. I collaborated with different teams, across functions and locations, which gave me a broad understanding of the business.

What surprised me most was the level of trust. I was given real responsibility from the beginning. With the support and encouragement of my line manager and colleagues, I gradually took ownership of areas like social media, which quickly became “my thing.”

From curious student to shaping a global voice

At the beginning of 2026, I was promoted to Social Media Coordinator. It felt like a dream not only because of the role itself, but because I genuinely enjoyed working at Kalmar. I think one of the biggest strengths of Kalmar is its people.

Today, I manage our global social media channels and support divisions and functions with marketing and communications topics. I’m still learning every day, and I’m excited to see where this journey will take me next.

And here’s the twist: before joining Kalmar, I wasn’t that familiar with the industry. Now, I get to tell the story of huge machines and a business that keeps global trade moving.

Not everyone gets to say that.
