Tire Pressure Monitor System

Perfect pressure for productivity.

The Kalmar Tire Pressure Monitor System keeps drivers informed of the exact pressure of their equipment’s tires, so they can be kept at an optimal pressure level to reduce wear and tear.  As a result, the equipment will use less fuel, saving you money and reducing your CO2 emissions.

Optimize your tire performance.

Small variations in your equipment's tire pressure can be costly, and the longer you leave your tires unchecked, the more these costs will add up.

The Kalmar Tire Pressure Monitor System continuously monitors the pressure of your equipment’s tires and alerts drivers to changes in tire pressure, enabling them to take corrective action. Keeping your tires at the right pressure will mitigate unnecessary wear, reduce blowouts, keep your machine moving as productively as possible, and provide a safer driving experience, all of which reduces your overall parts, servicing, and operational costs.

When your equipment’s tire pressure is maintained at the correct level, it will also experience less drag. As a result, it will use less fuel, saving you money and reducing your CO2 emissions.

What equipment can it be used for?

The Tire Pressure Monitor System is available for:

  • Reachstackers

  • Forklift trucks

  • Empty container handlers

  • Straddle carriers

It can be retrofitted onto both Kalmar machines and equipment from other manufacturers. Contact us to verify the upgrade availability for your fleet.

How does it work?

Bluetooth sensors installed on each tire continuously send data back to the in-cabin display. When the pressure of any tire becomes too low or too high, an alert is given so that instant action can be taken. The sensors also monitor tire temperature.

Drivers receive alerts via the display when the tire pressure is either 12.5% or 25% below the recommended level. They will also be alerted if the tires are over-inflated or if they become too hot. All readings can be displayed in psi, kPa, or bar.
