Contract Manager EMEA Front Line North, Rotterdam
I started my career at Kalmar with a six-month internship during my bachelor studies in economics and logistics. After that, I worked part-time at Kalmar for more than four years and obtained my master’s qualification. I joined the organization full-time in April 2009, eventually progressing to my current position as a Contract Manager.
As a Contract Manager, I focus on all machines in the rental fleet, such as reachstackers, empty container handlers, forklifts, and terminal tractors. I’m involved in the entire rental process, which starts with a quotation and ends after five or more years, when the used machine is sold on.
What I like most about my job is the fact that I work with a great diversity of people from both inside and outside Kalmar, and that each day brings a new challenge. I’m in daily contact with customers and suppliers, and internally with the sales department regarding new contracts, and with the service department regarding the technical status of the machines and their maintenance costs. Of course, I also work with the finance department to monitor the performance of the rental contracts.
As a worldwide market leader in mobile equipment, Kalmar provides a good opportunity for me to develop myself in both the short and long term.
Kalmar is always looking for new talent and provides excellent job opportunities. It gives ambitious young people the opportunity to grow.
